Fly Green Fund has now turned one – and together we can look back at twelve eventful months. In a rather short time, we have taken a step closer to our goal: that everyone who wants to should be able to fly on bio jet fuel in Sweden, while we become a world leader in bio jet fuel. Thanks to you, we are well on the way to reach our goal.

“It’s been a very successful week”
Seminars, a brainstorming session, an exhibition and useful meetings. Fly Green Fund has just finished a very intense Almedalen Week. The most important forum in Swedish politics.“It became evident that our investments in bio jet fuel are an important part of the bioeconomy and society’s sustainability work,” says MD Maria Fiskerud.
On Tuesday, Fly Green Fund arranged a brainstorming session together with the regions that so far have shown an interest in starting regional Fly Green Fund activities.
Fly Green Fund was one of the membership organisations invited by the trade association IKEM – Innovation and Chemical Industries in Sweden to a well-visited seminar entitled ”Environmental Objectives lead to better environment and competitiveness – true or false?”.
During the theme day about circular economy, there was also an exhibition where IKEM members presented their work.
Together with Swedavia, Fly Green Fund arranged a seminar on Thursday at ”Aktuell Hållbarhet Arena” entitled ”How do we obtain fossil free aviation?”.
Our board member Peter Landmark, has decided that he will step out of the board. As CEO at Karlstad Airport Peter has been an pioneer in bio jet fuel in the Nordics. We thank him for his work for Fly Green Fund and wish him good luck with his future work tasks.
Oslo Gardermoen Airport, 22nd January 2016. SkyNRG, Avinor and Air BP have made it possible for Lufthansa, KLM and SAS to fuel up with sustainable bio jet fuel at the airport. The fuel is produced by Neste, from the demo-project ITAKA, and is made from RSB certified camelina oil. Read more in SkyNRG’s press release here!
Amsterdam, the Netherlands. On the 18th of January 2016, ABN Ambro bank joined KLM and SkyNRG’s Corporate BioFuel Program – the first new customer of the new year. The Corporate Programme was established in 2012 by SkyNRG and KLM to, in a similar way as the FGF, supply the aviation industry with biojetfuel and make it possible for traveler to fly more sustainably.

Fly Green Funds satsning på så kallade ”biobiljetter” under Almedalsveckan blev en succé. Totalt såldes 226 biobränsleverifikat.
– Testet föll mycket väl ut. Avsikten är att vi till hösten ska kunna erbjuda biobiljetter som ett komplement till det årsavtal vi lanserar till hösten, säger Fly Green Funds vd Maria Fiskerud.
